Support Request: PDFIXERS.EXE flagged as Malware

Description

During the upgrade to the latest SiteKiosk release, our security solution flagged pdfixers.exe as Malware (PUA/Pdfixers.ajzky.) The file is installed in the c:\users\public\documents\sitekiosk\ path. Is this file critical to SiteKiosk, or can it be removed?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. The folder path, C:\Users\Public\Documents\SiteKiosk, is the default path for file downloads if allowed in Configuration>>Start Page & Browser>>Customize (Chrome Browser)>>Downloads. There is a chance that "Delete downloaded files" was not checked in Configuration >>Logout. By default, EXE files have no right to execute from or by SiteKiosk when downloaded. See File Actions in Customize (Chrome Browser)>>Downloads.

We are not familiar with that executable file, so proceed to remove.
